New Girl, New Work
« on: Apr 09, 2016, 03:09 pm »
Hi There!
My name is Margo, and I'm currently an undergrad at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. This program has already offered me the chance to work on beasts of shows like R&H's Carousel, as well as my current show, which is a workshop production of a new work. I never thought I'd be one to say this, but I love this new show and the chance to help piece it together for it's premier in Spring 2017. Have any of you ever ASM'd or SM'd on a workshop production or a new work? What was your experience like?

I love to talk and meet new people, so please feel free to message me!

Welcome, Margo! I really enjoy working on new plays as well. There are a number of great threads about doing new shows- if you head to the Plays and Musicals board, then search for "New Work" in the search bar (upper right hand corner), you should see a number of topics pop up.

Please post about your experiences! We'd love to hear them.

Welcome! Glad to see a CCM undergrad, it's a great program! Hope you've made it to Graeter's for ice cream  ;D.

I hope your new work experience is better than mine (an original two part musical that wasn't planned very well). Keep us informed on how it turns out.
