Hello from Bangkok
« on: Oct 16, 2016, 10:57 am »
Hi!

I'm a stage manager for the Bangkok Community Theatre ( newbielink:http://bangkokcommunitytheatre.com/ [nonactive]). I stage-managed our latest production "Art" -- which I'm proud to say was received very well!I did a few school productions back in my high school days and I've only picked it up again this year, and I'm very happy I did.

In daytime I'm a software engineer. I know it's an odd combination, but I found theatre calms me down, provides me an escape from the computer world. I love computers and math and science and space and generally other geeky stuff, but I always feel theatre makes me a more complete human being. And I like observing people, which is why the job of stage manager is very satisfying to me.

I recently found this forum and hope could make some friends here :)

So, you're actually "living in Bangkok? (requisite Miss Saigon reference) Welcome to the forum: hope it proves as good a resource as I've found it.
