Hey everyone!
My name is Janna!
So...
I am extremely new to this site and I am also terribly new at being a stage manager. I've only done stage managing one other time and I was actually only ASM. I had so much fun, but ever since then, I have been acting. It's my true calling. However, I know that being only an actor is quite difficult.
I am just saying I'd like to be an actress that can also work the other side of the curtain. Am I making sense?
I'm rather nervous about being a first-time stage manager. I'm not really worried about blocking, scheduling, etc. What I am really worried about is calling the show.
DUN!
DUN!
DUN!
But, I am more than willing and will be beyond grateful if everyone flooded my inbox with great tips and tricks for stage managing.
Just a little F.Y.I.
The show I am currently stage managing is called On The Verge. Ever heard of it? Well, if you have heard of it, you will know exactly why I am scared of calling the show.
If you haven't heard of it, let's just say I bit off more than I could chew.
