Young, scrappy, and hungry
« on: Apr 05, 2016, 08:23 pm »
Hey Gang! My name is Taylor and I am and undergrad studying stage management. I am lucky because my university has a SM track for undergrads, so I get training from the start. I'm only a sophomore but I have a couple of professional shows under my belt. I'm constantly learning as I go and looking for new templates, procedures, and general ideas in SM. I'm always open to comments, questions, and/or advice! So stop in and say hello.

LOVE the Hamilton reference.

Advice:  Don't throw away your shot.  Don't be afraid to say yes to something you might not usually do.  And try everything.  Run the sound board, run the light board, be on the deck crew, help with dressing... Often at smaller theatres you may be some of this in addition to SM-ing anyway, might as well become well versed in it while you're surrounded by very supportive professors. :)
