I have been in a discussion about how a resume might appear differently for someone stage managing in theatre, dance, or opera.  Other than listing that particular genre first and with prominence, do others notice any differences?

And would someone working in television or film create a different style resume (other than job title differences such as 2nd Assistant Director)?

For opera, listing the conductor in addition to the director.

I was going to add what Maribeth said, adding the conductor. The dance I did had the same choreographer as director and was with canned music, but I could see having two or more credits there, too.

I also do a lot of collaborations so sometimes have more than one line to explain all that and the important "factors" (people/companies).

I briefly worked in theme parks/themed entertainment and I was told to make my resume completely different than my theatre resume. My bosses at my internship told me they hate seeing "laundry list" resumes where you're just listing shows and prefer to see a more traditional resume where you're explaining your jobs.

Attached is an old resume that I built while at that internship.

I'm a little on the same thought process right now - I think I need a resume re-vamp!
I am the stage manager at a ballet company and now that I'm starting my second season, the company column on my resume is getting repetitive. I still want to list all of the productions, but I am thinking of going more towards the style that Nina posted.
Does anyone out there have any examples they could send over?
Any suggestions?

Actually, I may have come up with a happy medium on this one?
I'm still working on formatting/layout, but does anyone have thoughts on this section of the resume?

Thanks!!
