Sub Calling Stage Manager
« on: Nov 11, 2009, 03:32 pm »
Hello All--

I've been a substitute calling stage manager for a few shows in the past and am not sure how to list them on my resume.  Some of them I only called once or twice, but I feel I should put it on my resume to show I can do it.  These are typically shows that I have been brought in just to call and was not the asm for.

Any thoughts?

I would suggest:

Calling SM (sub)

That gets the point across.

Yes, go ahead and include them.  If the original stage manager leaves the show, and you finish out calling through the end of the run, I’d list it as “take-over” stage manager, but the other suggestions work too.
