Reliable sources/good theatres to look into?
« on: Jul 08, 2008, 04:35 pm »
Hey all. So, I am struggling a bit in finding job announcements. Are there some good suggestions as to where to go to look for job postings? I have been in the acting world for so long, I am totally out of the loop.

If you're in the Boston area, Stage Source is the way to go.

I look on playbill.com, backstagejobs.com, and craigslist.org.  Also artsearch (tcg.org), but you need an account for that.

Besides the fabulous SMNetwork right here (of course!), you might also consider joining the Stage Managers' Association (www.stagemanagers.org). The SMA sends out great and frequent job postings in all areas of SM work: tours, New York, opera, and other.

Thank you all very much. Some of those were very helpful, and I've already sent in some emails!
