Never worked there but I do know the PSM and she is fabulous.  A wonderful mentor.  Take full advantage of the opportunities she presents and you will learn a lot!

I heard they work you like a dog and sometimes treat you like one.  But the experience and connections you'll get make up for it.  Also heard it's a gateway job into the Guthrie.
Slip out the back, Jack.
Make a new plan, Stan.
Don't mean to be coy, Roy.
Just listen to me.
Hop on the bus, Gus.
Don't need to discuss much.
Just drop off the key, Lee.
And get yourself free.

Just to clarify, Londonite, have you ever worked for them, or is this just what you've heard?

I just worked at the Children's Theatre in Minneapolis last fall.  It is a great place to work and the stage crew is amazing to work with.  The PSM is also a great person and wonderful to work with as is all the SM staff!  If you are going to be the SM intern you will work - not like a dog - but you will do things that an intern would do, like making coffee, running errands, being on book, etc.  Have fun!
