Listing a reading on your resume
« on: Sep 21, 2009, 09:59 am »
Hi, hope this is the right place to post this-

I'm going to be SMing 2 Equity musical readings this month. Are these appropriate to list on a resume? If so, how? I feel like grouping them in with the other shows I've done is a little bit of a falsehood (esp as they are both heading to Off-Bway runs, which I might not be joining). Is there a simple way to set them off so as not to be confusing?
I personally would like to bring a tortoise onto the stage, turn it into a racehorse, then into a hat, a song, a dragon and a fountain of water. One can dare anything in the theatre and it is the place where one dares the least. -Ionesco

I always listed my Equity readings (esp because they were a season series). I added a tilda (~) to each and referenced that below.

I list them as well, and just note that it's a reading, so my resume looks like this in the show name column:

50 Words
Close Ties
Raised by Lesbians
Flood (by Tina Howe) (Staged Reading)

Companions whom I loved and still love, tell them my song.
