Commercial, Round 1: Pencil vs Crescent Wrench
« on: Nov 30, 2012, 07:54 pm »
The Commercial division will answer the question once and for all - is the pencil mightier than... well, everything else? The Pencil is undoubtedly the odds-on favorite here, but a last minute influx of support from electricians could very well put the Crescent Wrench over the top and send it on to the next round.

I have to say if wrench wins here, close the forum. And everyone needs to retire.

I think pencil could go all the way.

I don't know. It starts off sharp, but it's been known to crack under pressure and wear down easily.

But it keeps coming back for more. Sharpen, sharpen, sharpen. I can't imagine doing this job without a pencil.

Agreed. My money's on pencil right now.

It's also very hard for someone to be confused about why a pencil isn't working the way it should.  As much as I love technology, the pencil has it beat there as well as in number of imaginable secondary uses (there's at least a few minutes' worth of entertainment in trying to do the rubber pencil trick!)

I can use a pencil to hold my hair in a bun - try doing that with a wrench!

I dunno, I can see the c-wrench hair bun becoming a new fad.  You should start it, you'll only get a few odd looks  :o

Pencil! Especially if said pencil is mechanical - don't need to sharpen it, just add more lead. I've never used a crescent wrench as an SM but I have used it to assist with hanging lights...
